Pag
The island of Pag lies opposite the Velebit mountain range and it is the fifth largest island in Croatia. Islands close to the island of Pag include Rab, Olib, and Vir. The island can be reached from the mainland by a road bridge.
The island is mostly bare of trees (because of a strong wind called Bura coming from the east side of the island where the Velebit Channel is situated).
The main activities consist of fishing, tourism, and production of wine and salty Pag cheese. This cheese is soaked in olive oil and it is considered to be one of the best in Croatia.
While visiting the island of Pag by yacht (sailing yacht, catamaran, motor boat or gulet) make sure to go to the main harbor of the town of Pag or to Marina Simuni. There are also other anchorages around the island depending on the wind conditions.
It doesn’t matter whether you are coming with friends or family, make sure you take your yacht (sailing yacht, catamaran, motor boat or gulet) to visit the island of Pag and discover the beauty of the Adriatic Sea with Lighthouse Yacht Charter Croatia.
