Dugi otok (Long Island)
Dugi Otok (Long Island) is situated SW of Zadar, close to the Kornati Islands. Because of this, it is considered the northern gateway to the Kornati Islands.
Like any other island on the Adriatic coast, it was formed by a submerged mountain ridge. Close to Dugi Otok lies the island of Ugljan. All the settlements and anchorages are situated on the NE side of the island, facing the islands of Ugljan and Pasman.
The inlet of Soliscica and Marina Veli Rat offer sheltered anchorages, while Telascica Port has a lot more anchorages.
The island is somewhat quieter than the rest of the touristic islands on the Adriatic coast which makes it not so crowded during the summer season.
It doesn’t matter whether you are coming with friends or family, make sure you take your yacht (sailing yacht, catamaran, motor boat or gulet) to visit the island of Dugi Otok and discover the beauty of the Adriatic Sea with Lighthouse Yacht Charter Croatia.
