Brijuni National Park
The Brijuni National Park lies in the north Adriatic and consists of 14 islands. The islands are situated close to the Croatian mainland and are separated from it by the narrow Fažana Strait. Two main islands (Mali Brijun and Veliki Brijun) make up the whole National Park. Apart from them, there are dozens of other islets. Veli Brijun is the only island that is accessible by ferry. The waters around the islands are beautiful, translucent and quiet, there are hidden coves and islets perfect for your sailing holiday. If you are looking for peace and quiet and you enjoy marveling beautiful vegetation (there are around 700 plant species) and animals (250 bird species found their home in this National Park) then taking your yacht (sailing yacht, catamaran, motor boat or gulet) to Brijuni is the perfect choice.
On the biggest island (Veli Brijun) there is a safari park in which you can find llamas, zebras and even an elephant. All of these animals were given to the former Yugoslavian President Tito, who once used these islands as his own private residence.
It doesn’t matter whether you are coming with friends or family, make sure you take your yacht (sailing yacht, catamaran, motor boat or gulet) to visit the Brijuni National Park and discover the beauty of the Adriatic Sea with Lighthouse Yacht Charter Croatia.
