Ist

The island of Ist lies S of the islands of Silba and Olib and on the SE it is separated from the island of Molat by the Zapuntel Pass. The shape of the islands looks like a butterfly.

The main settlement on the island is its town. The town is situated in the narrow split between two bays – situated on its SE and NW sides. The SE side is more popular and bigger of the two.

The main activities on the island are tourism and especially yachting tourism. Coming yachts (sailing yachts, catamarans, motor boat or gulet) can berth on the jetties or mooring buoys in the bays or in the Zapuntel Pass.
